Harford County Office on Mental Health Announces New Crisis Provider.
The Office on Mental Health is pleased to announce that as of July 1, a new Harford County Crisis Provider has begun serving the county. The Affiliated Santé Group (Santé), based in Silver Spring, MD, will be the new provider of behavioral health crisis services. Santé has been awarded the new contract based on very careful review, evaluation, and research. They are a well-respected and experienced organization with crisis services throughout the State of Maryland. Their experience includes crisis hotline, mobile crisis teams, in-home assessment teams, urgent care, CISM services, Crisis Intervention Teams with law enforcement and more. We are delighted to welcome the Affiliated Santé Group to Harford County and look forward to a strong partnership with the community.
During the time of transition and further expansion of crisis services, please take careful note of the following:
Effective Monday, July 2nd, callers can use the existing mobile crisis team telephone number at 410638-5248. Call-takers will be answering the phone Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm.
Call-takers will be available to gather information, provide support and resources, make recommendations and referrals based on the presenting needs.
In addition to the local crisis line, you may also utilize our State partner, The United Way of Central Maryland by calling the 211 Helpline (press 1) and the Veterans Hotline: 1-800-273-8255.
Scheduled urgent mental health appointments are available through the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health outpatient mental health clinic.
We are excited to transition and continue developing the Crisis System in Harford County. Additional announcements will be provided as the crisis service system expands in Harford County.
Sincerely,
Jessica Kraus, MS
